Yes, Verapamil works, but as you point out it has a leveling at some point. True, for some time you can increase the dosage but up around 500mg/day is about the limit I believe.
I went on 240SR once a day and went into remission for four years. Now that they have come back I am having the worst cycle of my 25 years of C.H.'s. It is my feeling that these drugs can convert us to chronic sufferers although I am not certain as of yet for myself. I am now on 80mg four times a day. This has helped little.
I'm thinking of going off it (taper) and see if Heineken works better...:-)
