We all understand the frustration of dealing with these HAs. That is the very reason DJ created this site.
As much as our family may love us and be there for us, they truly do not understand the pain, suffering and disruption to our lives, that cluster headaches cause. NO ONE, can feel another's pain, unless they also have that pain. That is why I come here everyday and have for over a year now.
At CH.COM, I'm not alone anymore. I have found a lot of help & support and even some solutions. Our philosophies may differ, but our goals are one and the same.
There are many new medicines out today, that seem to really works for CHs. There are new Triptans which are being developed every day. I couldn't use Imitrex, but found Amerge very helpful.
Sometimes, I can abort a HA very fast using strong black coffee. Others use strenuous exercise or hyperventilation.
