How long does your episode last, and what is your
exact Prednisone regimen? My episodes last for 1
month. I take 2 tapers of Prednisone, starting each taper
with 5 20 mg pills for 2 days, then 4 for 2 days,
etc., down to 1 for 2 days. A lower dose regimen
I've also tried is 60 mg for 5 days, then 50 mg
for 5 days, etc., till I get to 20 mg. Then I
go down by 1 mg each day. I used the higher dose
taper successfully for 3 episodes of clusters.
But for my recent episode, 2 weeks after the
episode ended, I started getting headaches again,
though only mild to moderate ones. Here it is
December, and I'm still dealing with this! I'm
wondering if the Prednisone cause a sort of rebound
episode? This is scary and frustrating.
