I'm finally out of hospital and back on line. Had 3 attacks in hospital. First one not so bad. Tuesday night the physiotherapist did a bit of work on my neck. Said I had bad muscle spasms. Wednesday bad rebound headache, physio did more work on my neck. Asked for something for the pain and was given something so strong I could not breath out my nose only my mouth and could not keep my eyes open or communicate - it was terrible. Sorry Linda, I do remember you being there, but everything is so fuzzy. Second one was at 3:30am on Thursday morning and the nurse phoned my Neuro to ask if I could inject myself with imigran. He said rather not as it was a risk after all the medication he had given me. I told the nurse I would rather take the rist and injected myself right there before she could do anything about it. Third attack was at about 6:30 same morning but I knew then I had to rely on oxygen. Did not help. The demon just did not want to leave and eventually the Neuro came to see me at about 8:30am. My eyes were so swolen I could not even open them for him to check inside them. Felt like death. He gave me a zomig tablet which finally gave me relief. Anyway, they had to keep the drip on longer due to my attacks and Dr wanted me to stay an extra day. My family arrived that afternoon and the Dr said I could go home but had to let him know if I had another attack. My family was rather shocked to see me. My whole face had swelled up. I quess it was from being on the drip all that time. Anyway, I was sent home with ISOPTIN and an ANTIDEPRESSANT. Havent had an attack since. Only shadows. I hope this treatment has worked, will give it till Friday then I will be pain free for 1 week. Linda, thanks again for all your support and the flowers, I wish I could have seen you again before I left. I will mail you soon. I will be asking my Neuro to send me a report on the treatment I received. Maybe it could be of assistance to some of you. Who knows, there could be alot more of us out there that could be pain free.
