the ignorance of the religous was overcome by a few brave souls, how rapidly mankind has progressed, in less than 150 years, the entire world changed from animal and slave labor to the atomic age (with minor exceptions of course, always exceptions, then the question could be asked, did mankind do this before? Man is over 500,000 years old as far as we know, and in evolution, this is a short time, even 100,000 years ago, man was quite intelligent, maybe an advance civilization occured back then that was completely wiped off by nuclear destruction and the formation of the ice age save a couple of our ancestors. Maybe the religous have secret knowledge of this, and while some may call them ignorant, maybe their true purpose is to save mankind from repeating the same mistake, such gain of scientific knowledge has been found in China in around 1,000 BC, but that was put down, who knows? Questions, questions, maybe the Creator (that's my favorite word for him) got tired with us and went to another galaxy, supposed to be zillions of them, or maybe he is still here, but his words were changed by man for man's own convenience and power, I am dying to find out, but still too afraid to die to find out, gosh I am wishy-washy.
