I have suffered from clusters for years. About a year ago, they went chronic, to the recent tune of 5 per day. Lithium and verapamil no longer worked, so I was put on Verapamil and Sansert (an anti-convulsent). At the same time, I began taking Tylenol-PM (contains Benedryl) at bedtime and Cimetidine (the antihistamine from Tagement) during the day. I have, for the past week or so, had only two headaches, and both were easily beaten with an Imitrex nasal inhaler. I am not sure which is working here, but I think the antihistamine route is worth a try. I take 1 Tylenol-PM at bedtime, one 400mg Cimetadine tab at breakfast, and another at lunch. Some good CH data can be found at a website for Dr. Lawrence Robbins, the expensive, yet apprently knowledgeable, headache doctor I see. As always, best wishes.
