I'm not sure what his dosage is; they are capsules, and the instructions are "one to two tabs three times a day with food." I guess the best thing is for him to give it a week or so and if nothing happens, oh well, it was worth a try! You know how that is -- ANYTHING is worth a try! Who knows? Maybe last night was a fluke and these pills will do the trick. If not, well, we'll just keep on trying. I do appreciate all the info and your kind thoughts and words. And if we never find anything that works, well, then, we'll just get through the cycles and enjoy the pain-free times. From reading the posts on this board, I consider us lucky to be episodic and not chronic. I never knew there were those who have these things every day of their lives with no respite.
