my neurologist says that there may be a permanent cure for these damned headaches. in like 3 weeks i'm goign back to see him and he's going to contact a neurosurgeon he knows. he says if they just cook the phenopalpatine ganglion (the nerve that is agitated) then i won't feel the agony anymore. first he wanted me to see an ENT (ear nose throat doc) while i had a headache to see if some kind of beta blocker would turn off hte headache like magic, and if it worked, the other thing would too. but you all know had hard it is to think and act through pain. there was no way to know exactly when i was having a headache and no way to get down there. so he said to hell with it, we'll just see about cooking the nerve. has anyone ever heard of this? he says it's REALLY new.
