I'm photophobic. I find that light definitely increases the intensity. I'm also somewhat phonophobic, although not entirely. I've mentioned in the past that I turn on the TV to be distracted. But I put on my sunglasses and turn my chair away from the TV to avoid the light from it. I also can't turn it up past a certain low level. If I do, the intensity increases too. But I'm not sure if that's so much phonophobic as keeping things somewhat peaceful. Because I also can't have the TV on a violent or stressful-situation show or I tense up somewhat, which as we know isn't the best thing during the attacks. So it may be more that a louder voice increases tension and that's what does it, as opposed to some other physiological disturbance by noise.
