I have suffered with cluster headaches for 16 years. I presently use Imitrex Nasal Spray (works faster then the pill) and stadol NS. The Imitrex was developed for Migraine headaches but it also works to some degree on cluster headaches. I have never stopped a cluster headache with Imitrex or stadol. They both help to minimize the pain. Also I have learned lying down and focusing on something other then the headache (bio feedback) will also reduce the pain. It is all about slowing the heart rate thus reducing the blood flow.
