Please help me find a preventative medicine

I have been having headaches for 3 months straight with almost no relief. I notice now that my headaches have been decreasing in pain but not frequency. I'm not sure how much longer I can tolerate. Ergotamines like Imitrex don't work. I'm looking for something that will work as a preventative. Any help.
