My neurologist just told me I have this same weirdness. He says it's extremely rare. He's been a headache specialist for 30 years and has only seen about 10 cases so far. He prescribed Indomethacin and says if I take it for about 3 weeks, I probably can go off it and not have anymore problems for a while. He says the Jabs and Jolts Syndrome used to be called "Icepick headaches" (another very medical-sounding term). He says it's most prevalent in people of Skandinavian descent, which I am not as far as I know. It's been a year since your post. I hope you've improved since then. Good luck.
