In lieu of that, and assuming you can't change docs for some foolish bureaucratic reason, I suggest you try for the referral to a local hospital. Once there, get a more understanding doc to refer you to Queen's Square.

I'd hold off on emailing Dr. Matharu until you meet with your GP. No sense crying wolf and risking ticking the GP off further if, by some stretch, you are able to convince him to write the referral.

If he refuses, take the gloves off. Contact everyone. Is there an appeals board in your GHS? What work-arounds are there? Can you see another GP just to get the referral?

Your situation is not totally unlike Carl's. The only hope is to continue to plow your way through the process, filing all the ridiculous forms and never taking No for an answer.
