It knocks out a cluster headache for me if I take it within 10 minutes of starting. Only one side effect noted: general feeling of just being 'out of it'. Then again, that is the same feeling when recoviering from a headache w/o medication. I swear by it. It is intended to knock out a headache but not to eliminate them. I use steroids and valium to get me over a spell of headaches.
