Hi - I am new to this site and first want to say thank you - you have proved I am not a freak!! So many things people have said have hit so close to home it's eerie.
My question is this: I will be seeing my doc this week and have read about the possible preventatives, prednisone, topamax. Which worked better for most and are there any others that have helped anyone? I want to go armed with information to my doc. I am in week 2 of episodic clusters which have been going on for 21 yrs. I went 18 mos. this time without a CH. My last longest relief cycle was 15 mos. Doc gave me Imitrex in 1998 and it was a miracle - just want to take more than I should cause I get 3 to 4 a day (24 hr. period).
Any one else who is helped by Imitrex - what do you do when you've used up your 2 in 24 hrs? Any help at all is so greatly appreciated.
I have read so much on this site but the testimonials have really gotten to me. I have cried for so many of you and all are in my prayers. Thank you again!
