I decided long ago that I was not going to miss out on anything because of these things. Soooo, even though I might make others a bit uncomfortable witnessing my pain ( I am not a screamer or headbanger any more, just deal with it as calmly as I can through deep breathing and quiet cursing hehehe) I don't go home or avoid stuff if I can help it. I just didn't want to be a slave to this pain and since it only lasts 30 min to 1 1/2 hours usually it is gone before anyone really becomes concerned or super uncomfortable.
Now this is not possible for everyone I know. And believe me, if I can ever get a doctor to prescribe imitrex or oxygen for me, I am going to go for it!!
Ok, after this long rambling stuff what I mean to say is.... sorry you had to find this place but if you are like me you will find that it is wonderful!!! Full of caring and UNDERSTANDING people which is hard to find.
