You have your O2 with you? I take the small bottle along and I have once even done my heavy breathing right in the middle of a comittee meeting.
If you're sure shadows come before a biggie, I'd up my Vera if I were you. If you're on time you might still catch it.
Take extra coffee and sugar it, or keep a few cans of pepsi handy.
Find a chore that you can do alone, in a separate room, and that you can postpone till you get an attack. Go there and hide.
