Well I have had cluster headaches everyday since March 9, 1999 and I just got the word, I have been approved for my disability. I feel extremely fortunate to have been approved the first time through. The approval rate is 40% for 1st time filers.
I would urge anyone who cannot work because of CH, to file and be very very specific. You cannot give too much information. The more you give, the better your chances of approval.
I happened to have a CH while at their Dr's appt, so wonder how much that had to do with my approval. But Dr took one look at me and said " You are in pain, aren't you"?
I also had the support of 3 doctors who knew I have cluster headaches, and they were very happy to help write a letter of support for disability.
