Well, I'm pleasantly surprised to find such a supportive group of fellow sufferers. I've been lurking for a few days, but thought it was time to speak up.

I'm 35 and have been suffering CH since I was in college. I'm generally episodic, lasting about 6-8 weeks at a time, once or twice per day. And once the cycle is over, I have gone as long as 2 years without a CH.

Well, the beast is back. In the past I've successfully used Prednisone. But, for some reason, the MD is reluctant to prescribe it this time. This time, I've been given: Imitrex tabs, Zomig tabs, Verapamil and O2. Imitrex and Zomig work, but take a while to kick in. I've been very dissapointed with the O2. I really thought that I was going to be the fix. But, at best, all it does is keep the CH from getting worse. Really does not stop it. The jury's still out on the Verapamil. If I don't see any results in a day or so, I'm going to go back and demand the Prednisone.

Any how, sorry for the rambling. But it seems like when these cycles start, it consumes my life. It's all I think about. I dread going to sleep because I know what will happen. Arrgghhh!

Thanks for listening. :)
