I'm really fortunate to work where I do. They have put up with me since I was 20 years old.
I came in one day still drunk and stoned with two different shoes on and they laughed and sent me home.
I didn't come in or call for three days one time and they called the hospital and jails looking for me, and barely verbally reprimanded me for it and probably paid me anyway.
I am truly, truly, grateful. They have endured my CH episodes with great patience. Even when I would have to sit and sleep off the indocin or catch some kind of a nap from days of sleep deprivation.
So I guess I am not qualified to make any judgement calls here.
Well, since you will be able to stay home with your family now maybe you can start building on those relationships that you never had a chance to develope working 80 hours a week. I'll wager that your son would really rather have that, than the new car that money could buy.
You know the way I see it suicide doesn't send one to hell. There is only one sin that can do that, and that is rejecting God's Son and His sacrifice for your sin...just my opinion...I hope that you have pain free days...
