The doc put Steve on Depakote. She said that they have had a lot of success recently treating CH with it and since Steve gets both migrains and CH she is hoping to kill two birds with one stone. We had to switch him to they syrup bc the pills were giving him chest pain and heart palpitations. He started that today but has been on the pills since the 14th. He just finished up a 30 day dose of prednisone just today and got a attack tonight. So I don't know if this med is going to work or not.

Thanks for your support. Steve and I went out to the pool which we just topped off with some well water so it was freezing cold! he jumped in and after he got his breath he went under a few times. The pains stopped. They started up again after a while inside so he and hubby went out again. He had a blast shivering and going under when we counted to 3. This time his pain stayed away. He seems to get more relief with extreme cold, and I might be wrong, but lowering his total body temp seem to abort the attack right away. Something to keep in mind for the future.

He is sleeping peacefully now. I can't sleep but that's okay with me as long as my babies are resting.

It is very hard to watch him. It's depressing as hell and I hate it for him. I have the easiest part I think. I would gladly take his pain for him and I wish I could. I would do anything for these attacks to stop.
