I've been taking Cafergot (and/or ErgoStat) during cycles for approx. 10 yrs. I typically have only one cyle per year that lasts about a month, and have found Cafergot both effective in aborting headaches and safe to use. I have taken as many as 20 in a week (my script says to stop at ten/week) but have had no side effects. Ergostat (sublingual) seems to work much more quickly than cafergot which is nice, but doesn't work as well for me on really "bad" clusters.
