define two different branches:

Cycle triggers: (in my case prolonged sleep apnea, few oxigen and warm rooms, humidity, nasal sprays and "cold" meds like Vaporub and similar) these triggers start cycle in few days. In 25 cycles I've had, I ever had one ore more of those triggers before.

Attacks triggers: (in my case few oxigen and warm/crowded rooms [as the cycle triggers], alcohol...and nothing else) these triggers start the attack in 30 minutes (at least) and start always the attack.
About the night attacks (4 in my case) I don't know if the less oxigen, huge sweating, nostril occlusion, REM or something else trigger the attacks.

Anyway, I'm sure that, as meds, everyone of us is different. Then I can believe that you are a "trigger free" CHer ...:-)

Hope this might help
Ciao and PFNAD
