You'll be flying into McCarren International Airport in Las Vegas. After you pick up your bags and exit that area, look for the doors marked Passengaer Pick Up and Ground Transportation. Outside those doors you can get a taxi. From the airport to the Monte Carlo it's about a 10 minute ride. The hotel offers about everything you'll need while you're there. But of course you'll want to see the "Strip". Within walking distance ( about 1 mile) from the Monte Carlo is the New York New York, the Ballagio, Ceasar's Palace, the MGM Grand, Tropicana, Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay. All the resorts are like cities within themselves (once they get you in the door, they don't want you to leave). There is sightseeing in Southern Nevada but if this is your first trip to Vegas you'll probably not ever leave the Las Vegas Strip. Maybe after you meet some of the Convention group you'll want to see all the lights after dark. A limo can be had for about $30 per hour. A strech limo will carry about 7 people. I've driven the Stripe many times and my advice is to get a taxi. The traffic, especially on weekends, is terrible. If you have more questions about Las Vegas just ask, since I live there I'll try to answer them.
