You don't like what a lawyer is doing? Ask him/her
to make a motion to withdraw. If they refuse take
one of the law suit filings that they gave you for your
divorce. Copy it, change the title to

Complaint For Professional Negligence

YOU, Plaintiff

v.

YOUR LAWYER, Defendant

Notarize it.

Add the Certificate of Service

File it with the clerk of Court

Send it via certified mail (indicate so in the
certificate of service) immediately after filing
it with clrek's office.

Request in the filing papers that the matter
be heard in front of a jury in Superior Court.

Pay the filing fee, $75.00 in NC

Wait for your lawyer's call.

Ask him once more to make a Motion to Withdraw
because of a "conflict of interest". He will have to withdraw
anyway, even if you do not ask him.

When you file the complain make sure that your complain is soundly based
i.e.: He did not do something that you asked him to do, or that he did not
inform you of some change/event, which could have
had a significant inpact on your decissions or
those of the Courts. simply, he did not act in your best interest contrary to your requests,
i.e.: the issue about the piece of furniture you noted. Weigh the cost of
the piece of furniture v. his fess and time to settle.
Add your documentation (evidence) that you told him you did not
want the piece of furniture and told him so. Make sure that all your
communications with your attorney are made in writing as well as verbally, and via fax
certified cail, or some other form of communication that can be traced and documented as sent and
received. Also, make sure that you can demonstrate that
via documentation (tangible proof/evidence).

Once he withdraws, drop the suit...$10.00 (NC)

Total Costs:

$75.00 Filing Fee (NC)
$5.00 Parking fee around city's Courthouse
5 hrs of your time
$3.50 For certified mail charges
$10.00 Dropping the complain (NC)

Savings? Well, at $100.00/hr to $300.00/hr that these
money leaches suck it out of you...you be the judge :-)
