Hi,
I'm a male, 33 and have suffered from clusters
since I was a child. I have tried all kinds of meds and have come to the conclusion
that I can survive the headaches but I'm not so sure I can live through the "cures".
Meds have done the following for me: near heart attack (1991), dramatic mood
swings (1986), intollerable headaches (1994 - froze the cluster at it's highest point for
more than 2 hours... once again, seriously thought my heart would stop)... the very
least damage drugs have done to me is make me feel detached and phisically distant (Imitrex)...
while still getting headaches. The reason is very simple... there are no medications for
cluster headaches (there are too few of us for this to be a profitable investment in medical research)... all that is available are drugs intended for other ailments
(depression, heart disease, low/high blood pressure, migraines) that coincidentally
seem to alleviate some CHs. When you take these medicines you're affecting all kinds
of other things that are not "misbehaving"... so please be cautious and aware of what
you're putting in your body.

Good luck.
