Since it has been a long time since I posted....and there are so many new kids on the block...I guess I have only one good thing to add that that might help someone.

I asked my Neuro to write me out a RX (showing his name and address, etc. at top) explaining that I suffered from Cluster Headaches and that IF I presented myself at a hospital or Emergency Room for them to immediately start me on O2....and other meds...and if no response to those orders to contact him.

He thought this was a wonderful idea. That way the idots, Doubting Thomas' that work in these ERs think you are just there to get drugs or that you are some nut case, you have proof. AND, IF they still treat you like you are from MARS or faking it, just ask them to take your pulse or BP.....it WILL be SKY HIGH, I promise you....We sure as heck can't fake that. Back to the RX note...that way my Neuro might get a little longer sleep if what he ordered worked and he doesn't have to be called in the middle of the night. You see for the ones that don't know me....I am eposodic and nocturnal...so mine are usually in the middle of the night.

It would also work if some nice policeman thought you were nuts also....

I never leave home without it....my RX that is. Ask your doctors for this note, it at least gives me some comfort just knowing I have it, especially since I travel as much as I do....Just knowing I have an Imitrex Injection packed also helps.....In my old age, my security blanket has changed.

Just an idea that I find comforting. Hope it helps another member of my CH family.
