Ya'll probably don't want to hear from a migraine sufferer-I found this site while doing a search on maxalt.I prefer testimonials to drug company sponsored sites. Anyhow, for what it's worth, Imitrex worked for me(kinda-sorta)but I always felt like I was dying when I took it.(Super charged heart rate elephant on chest sensation,difficulty breathing).The shots relieved about 80% of the pain,but it was back in 2 hrs.Maxalt tablets take about an hour to kick in,the pain intensifies for a little while,then recedes about 75% and usually stays gone for about 8 hrs.Maybe some triptans work better for migs & some for CH's.Everyone's chemistry is different so who knows? I just hope the cure isn't going to kill me! I worry about putting so many chemicals in my body. Sorry to run on soooooo long-hope everyone is pain-free forever.
