I have been episodic for 27 years and my gut feeling has always been that there is a very strong allergic component to all of this. The seasonal triggers, the stuffy runny nose, the bloodshot droopy eyelid - sure seems like an allergic reaction to me. By the way i beleive these things have at times been referred to as histamine headaches. Histamine is also present in alcohol particulalry wine and we all know how a liitle alcohol can trigger an attack during a cycle.
