I as well am a smoker and i am here to tell you that i dont feel smoking has anything to do with CH's occuring!!! I am trying to quit and have been in a cycle for about 6 wks. now. Since cutting back to one pack a day (from 2 perday) the d%#n headaches have gotten worse!! Go figure! Not an argument for the continuation of smoking though because i will be quitting either way!
As far as alcohol is concerned, i cant drink it during a cycle in any quanity! a definite trigger for me and a lot of others! I will celebrate with a finely cooled case of brew when this cycle ends though - just not worth it at all for me to even have one during a cycle!
Chiropractors: have been seeing one for 15 yrs. because of a weak lower back and he adjusted my neck area trying to give me some relief from CH's.
The last cycle i had (2 yrs. ago) he was somehow able to break the back of the beast - dont know if he was successful or just coincidence that it was the end of the cycle but this time he hasn't been able to touch them!!
