A friend loaned me the O2 rig from the 4-place private airplane he just sold. It comes with a full face mask and rebreather bag and is equipped like a hookah-bong with separate adjustments for each person -- remember this was a 4-place plane. There is no prescription required for aviation 02 and it is supposedly the same as medical O2 except for the branding.

One issue is that the flow meter is calibrated in feet ASL (above sea level) rather than liters/min.

Perhaps someone can check my math but it seems like the flow rates are about 0.5 liter/min, which seems like it might be low for CH purposes.

How long would an "E" size tank last at flow rates appropriate for CH treatment?
