When I reach about a 7, without 02 handy, I jump in the shower with the hot water blasting. After a few minutes with the water directly on my face, I'll start alternating to cold/hot.. Sometimes it'll start to diminish enough to where I can lean on the wall with my back facing the shower and take deep breaths. Then I'll face the shower and hit COLD. The shock brings a lung full of air, and again begin alternating temps.. Sometimes it takes 30 minutes, and at MY worst 45 minutes, but it does at least drop the beast to a 4 or below, with 75% bringing it down to a 2.. It may sound like a long time, but the time in the shower is much better than spending it pacing, or worse...
