I've got a 12YO daughter who has seen me with these for years, usually during the middle of the night when she woke up and heard me blundering around the house in the dark. In any event, she has been incredibly supportive about the whole thing and doesn't think I'm either crazy or a drug addict. (I hope! *S*) She just accepts it as something that happens. She doesn't worry that she will get them either. I've just explained that these things aren't hereditary or even caused by the environment and she seems to accept that without a qualm. Anyway, hope this helps.
