I have suffered with CH's about 13 years and have tried too many medications that don't work. I got another nuero opinion about 1 month ago and was prescribed Amerge.
As far as I am concerned, Amerge is a life saver. I have not had a CH in almost a month and very few shadows. I am a believer in it! I can live life again. Dosage is 1 tablet
at dinertime ( my CH's start about 8 PM) and it covers me thru the night. I have not had any breakthrough's during the day, although I keep my Imitrex nasal spray in my left pocket at all times!
My Nurse Practitioner has said that if I do breakthrough in the AM, I should take 2/day to cover the 24 hours. She has described Amerge as a 12 hour Imitrex pill. Works for me!!!!
