I did a sleep study last week at a local hospital. They found that I have "some" sleep apnea, only when I'm sleeping on my back. I knew that I snored, but not that I had any apnea. But I was told that many who have sleep apnea don't snore, so there's not such a direct correlation between snoring and sleep apnea as I thought. Instead of having me hook up to the CPAP machine every night, I'm to sew a sock to a t-shirt with a tennis ball in the sock, so I won't be comfortable sleeping on my back. And if that doesn't work? I don't know...a bowling ball? My cat? Cardboard, with thumbtacks just under the surface?
