What's considered adequately fatty?

I finally have my imitrex injections at hand for work. No other form of imitrex has worked for more than 2-3 weeks and nothing else has helped. So I tried the imitrex last night to see if I should use it at work. I followed the complete directions, including the spot they show to shoot it on the directions. Everything worked fine except within seconds of shooting it blood started dripping out of my arm (no big deal other than...) and the pain shot immediately to a 10. Could the meds have dripped out? and more importantly, what's the "adequately" fatty part of the arm that I should be hitting it with? I mean, I hit it exactly where they had shown and today I have a bruise with no relief from using it. I have cool bosses and know I can survive this job from it for a while. But for their sake I'd rather not endure these leaving them stuck dealing with it. OK. For my sake I don't want to have to endure it. Where should I spike it?
