An update to all of you who were there for me last year when I suffered from spontaneous, serious clusters.. well they were "cureable". After seeing many doctors for my headaches (3 years worth of MRI's and EEG's), I finally started to get severe joint and muscle pains and numbness.. even without the headaches... I knew there was more to my headaches than anyone cared to look into. Thinking I had Fibromayalgia, I went to see a rheumatologist. He tested me for Lyme Disease (I never even considered this).. and I am positive. I am on heavy antibiotics now, and I am feeling worlds better. The headaches have lessened in severity and consistancy. The headaches were my body telling me something was severely wrong. I believe I have had this disease for four years, i am now paying for it dearly. I want to alert those of you who are suffering to continue searching for answers to your ailments... it may be a sign of something else!! Most lyme patients don't get migraines as first symptoms... (or is it that most headache doctors don't know about Lyme Disease??)
Regardless.. I wish you all wellness, relief, and luck to those still searching for an answer to your ailment. If anyone has questions regarding Lyme Disaease, please contact me. If someone had mentioned this when I was on the line last year, I would have been diagnosed sooner... if I can help one of you, I have suffered for good reason.
p.s. my sister, who lives across the country also had clusters and was originally diagnosed with MS... after I was diagnosed, she got tested and tested + with Lyme. Coincidence? or is this a more common disease than we think?? or is it easier for docs to make a diagnosis, administer drugs and move on the to next patient considering his/her job done? Yes, there is bitterness here... but I think it is something everyone should know about...
