Stress is not a factor in cluster headaches. BUT, the lack of stress might be. I have a very stress free life, wonderful wife/supporter, great kids and grandkids, nice home (almost paid for), quiet job most of the time and on and on. AND also get cluster attacks. I've had attacks while on stress free vacations. You can't get much more stress free than during REM sleep but that's when the worst attacks happen.
