I had been going to the ER for years saying I had Cluster Migraine Headaches, to which everyone including the docs would say there is no such thing. You either have migraines or you have clusters....Well, I had been diagnosed by a doc friend in the early 70's as suffering from clusters. We already knew I suffered from migraines. Finally 2 years ago this month when the demon stuck his head back up following a 3 year pain-free episode, my new neuro agreed that I was combination...suffering from both.

I do not have them at the same time, although I do throw up with the Clusters....I firmly believe it is just from the shear pain from the clusters however. I do not deal with pain very well. I threw up during labor just because of the pain. I guess it is my way of dealing with that much pain. But others experience the vomiting with a CH...Mine is because the pain is so great.

So.....I do know the difference when I am having a migraine and when I am having the CH....
BIG difference...BIG difference....I can deal with the migraine, I can't deal with the CH....I think I am going to die each and every time. Panic is such a big factor when I am having a
CH.....Panic and Terror are the words for my CHs.

Hope this helps.
