As to your questions:
There is a lot of information under the buttons on the left. Check it all out. If needs be, print it and take it when you see your doctor.
You may want to post again about that antibiotic - I am not sure I have seen that before. Also, Pred seems quite a heavy med for starters.
For other methods, check out medical info and Water x 3 (should agree with you).
Also you might consider oxygen. Some time on an oxygen bottle, with the right (powerful) outflow and the right (non-rebreathing) mask cuts attacks for many of us. Sometimes 5/10 minutes will do the trick. There are portable bottles that fit into a town backpack. I use them myself.
