Hi Rose,

First, pred is some serious stuff and do approch it with caution. It has some nasty side effects (go to the onhealth.com drug database for details). There are other methods to control the beast that are effective for many. I use oxygen to abort and verapimil to prevent. Verap is fairly safe, it's used to control high blood pressure (which I also have) and O2 has no side effects when done correctly. As far as odors that you listed, major wham while in a cycle and even out of cycle sometimes. Back in the 70's, there was a keypunch operator that worked 2nd shift and usually got to work around 3:15. The onset of a CH started immediatly when she walked through the door. I had to go and sit in my bosses office 'till 3:30 when my shift ended. Perfumes, solvents, scented cleaning agents, you name it. Major triggers and even minor triggers when out of cycle. Best of luck to you both. BTW, feel free to email on O2 ( some misguided souls on the CHMB think I'm an O2 pro) or any other questions you might have.

Kip
