I've been using o2 for quite a long time. Like some of the other follow-ups I often get a rebound headache with o2 but I'll do most anything to stop the pain now and worry about later later. I think the o2 aborts the headache but it sneaks back after a couple hours, usually worse. The other folks are exactly right about the face mask vs the nose clamps and your doctor should be able to hook you up so that a o2 service will deliver and maintain the tank and stuff at your house.
I also can't use drugs that make me drowsey which rules out most of the good ones. I have been using intra-nasal liquid lidocaine for a few years with pretty good success. You squirt a few drops up your nose and it numbs some of the inflamed nerves. It doesn't stop the headache entirely but it kills the stabbing, searing, head-crushing pain so typical of clusters most of the time. No real side-effects except the yucky sensation, a pain level I can function with and low cost.
I don't know if anybody else uses it.

good luck,
tom
