This is the place to vent and you already sound tough to me. It'd be a good idea for you to print out some the the info from this and the other CH sites for your husband and anyone else you'd like inform. I never call these things "headaches" as it's a misnomer. Try using syndrome or attack. Anything but "headache." Only people who've had these things live in fear of sleep.
