I have been taking Topomax and Verapamil together for the last year and it has worked for me. I take 480mg of Verapamil and 100 mg Topomax in the AM with a repeat of the same in the PM. I build up to this dosage over a 7 day period.
I have tried taking Verapamil and Topomax by themselves and they didn't help at all. It actually made my headaches worse. Combining the two, I usually get relief in 2-3 weeks. Once I am headache free for two weeks, I start to decrease my dosage, until I eventually stop taking the pills.
