I have always been afraid of ops with total anaesthesia. I keep saying that is because I had an op when I was 4 yrs old. I was lying on an "ironing board" and the nurse came at me with a "large dish cover" and then the world went away...
But of course it is not just because of that. The world is mine - and I can't stand it when it isn't, even for the shortest time.
