I have occasionally experienced attacks that seem to run from one to another. Usually at the very peak of a cycle. You have my sympathy - it doesn't get much worse. On the positive side I have found that this phase does pass as the cycle declines.

As far as Prednisone is concerned my doctor also tends to prescribe the two week taper pack. One week on 60mg per day and then a reduction of 5mg per day down to zero. This is normally used to bring some relief (reduction in the number and intensity of attacks)while a new long term preventative medication (e.g. Lithium, Verapamil or similar)is introduced and has chance to build up to a therapeutic level. My experience is that Prednisone by itself does not bring about the end of my cluster.

Are you using oxygen or Imitrex to abort indiviual attacks? I would highly recommend both.

Hope some of this may be helpful to you.

Wishing you all the very best rawwar
