I can tell ya a little about it... I was on pain pills for only about 4 days. After four days, it would have only hurt if someone smacked me in the nose. Imagine a broken nose? Some bruising where the septum meets the nasal bone. I've heard there is often 'black eyes' but I didn't have that at all. Not allowed to blow your nose for three weeks but if you were blocked up before anyway it doesn't make much difference. Pray you don't sneeze (ow). Have to go back to the doc 4 days after, one week after that, and three weeks after so he can remove splints/packing or plastic tube thingies. Possibly periodic check ups (one month, three months, six, one year..I think). I think the worst part was the anesthesia, honestly. Now six months later it feels like one third of that funny feeling you get when you hit your funny bone. But, again, only if I actually bump it or forget and squish my nose around trying to itch it! Doesn't linger like the funny bone either. I hear from another guy who got it done that that feeling eventually goes away after a while. No even lightly strenuous activity for at least three weeks afterward but that may have been related to other procedures I had done at the same time. Makes it swell. Hehe..and it's grotesquely cool when he pulls out those huge splints..can't understand how they got up there in the first place!! Uhhh..what else...ew..sometimes you swallow..um..bloody mucus. But after it's gone ya feel so much better!! (yuck..)And that only happened once. Over all..it's not so bad! the very next weekend I was at graduation and was pretty much back to normal except for keeping the swelling down and getting a little sleepy. I could go on, but I'm gonna stop here... feel free to email if anyone's got questions
