I was taking Imitrex inj., they worked wonderful, unfortunately instead of my one or possibly 2 headaches a night, I was getting them every 4 hours, during the day and whenever, I called it rebound effect. I was getting more and more often, consequently my doc cut me off - I 'bout died, he said you cannot take that many. It really is bad for your heart to take that many, you can have a heart attack. So, no more Imitrex for me, although I do have a few old ones that I refuse to throw out .. just in case. : )
