Sorry your family is going through this. Please try to convince your husband that if (and this is a big IF) he can force himself to stay calm through his attacks, his blood pressure won't elevate as much and therefore his attack will be somewhat less severe. Using an ice pack on the back of the neck seems to help my husband accomplish this. When he was younger he would get very frustrated with his attacks and also get angry - but he has now learned to slow down and be calm and it has helped him a lot.
