My attacks almost always score a ten on the Kip scale, and invariably I lose all semblance of dignity or decorum (I don't dare elaborate).
Often, I become suicidal, but when I'm having the attacks, there is no way I can do anything, including suicide.
Once the attack(s) is(are) over, I'm too exhausted, physically and emotionally to do anything, and once I have recovered enough, my recollection of the gravity of the pain and the mood dims enough, so that I'm less inclined to do anything rash.
Of course, when I get the next attack, I'm invariably surprised that the pain seems much worse than I recalled, and the process begins anew.
I've had some luck in finding a combination of drugs and/or device that help me abort/prevent these attacks, so my situation is better now (however, this lucky state may be pure chance, or coincidence, so I may still find myself in deep trouble again).
